OSA has worked with the poor of Narsingdi district since 1995. Contributions from well-wishers, partner NGOs and donor agencies fund that work, and every taka is held in a bank account and audited each year.

Where the money goes, and who checks

OSA's finances follow the same rules that have governed the organization since its registration in 1996.

Audited every year

All funds are kept and operated through a bank account with proper accounting. The accounts are audited annually by a Government approved Chartered Accountant firm and reported to the OSA General Committee and to the Government.

The General Committee is the highest authority of the organization. Its members approve the annual work plan, budget, annual report and annual audit at the annual general meeting.

How OSA is funded

OSA's income comes from five sources:

  • Membership subscription
  • Well-wishers' contribution
  • Donations from partner NGOs and donor agencies
  • Income generating activities
  • Target group's participation
